Site Description and Birding Information: This was the site of the famous Carlsbad Mineral Springs, a bigtime resort from the late 1800's to as late as the Second World War. This area is part of the Green Belt and consists of a small corner of riparian habitat which is quite pretty and potentially quite birdy, especially during migration. The path to the east leads across a small footbridge to the historic plaque, with a very short aside to a beaver dam. The trail leading south then west, follows the creek through mixed woodlands.
