Site Description and Birding Information: This parking area is the trailhead for the ATV trail, a.k.a Road 25. East of CR 8 it runs for 1.8 km (3.6 km return) to Tamarack Road. To the west it runs nearly 9 km (18 km return) heading to the southwest as far as the Indian Creek Road Picnic Area. This trail goes through a good variety of habitat, including both deciduous and conifer forest. If you hike this trail, be cautious when ATV are passing. The area can be quite wet in any season but winter, so boots are recommended in warmer months. Insects can be bothersome at that time too.
