Site Description and Birding Information: You take the High Road, and just maybe you have a good view. This road is slightly elevated and looks out over the Leitrim Wetlands to the east. This makes it a good spot to watch for hawks. Also, the heronry at Leitrim Wetlands can be seen from the southeastern portion of High Road.
Watch for Eastern Bluebird near the junction with Earl Armstrong Road. There is a sizable colony of Bank Swallows here. The northwestern segment of High Road has been blocked off and is now an interesting trail. The far end can be more easily reached from just south of the junction of Leitrim and Bowesville Roads, where there is a small parking area.
