         Independent Directions to this Site: From Highway 416 take exit 42 (Dilworth Road southwest) 1.0 km to Regional 5 (North Gower Road). Turn left or southeast onto it and drive 5.7 km to Leeds & Grenville 44 at Becketts Landing. Turn left or southeast onto 44 and go 1.0 km (across the Rideau River) to River Road. Turn right or southwest onto River Road and proceed 5.1 km to Murphy's Drain, a creek flowing into the Rideau River.
         Rideau River East Side Route Directions: From wherever you are on Becketts Landing Road, return southeast to River Road. Turn right or southwest onto it and follow it 4.6 km to Murphy's Drain, a creek flowing into the Rideau River.

         Site Description and Birding Information: Murphy's Drain is a stream flowing into the Rideau River. Worth a quick stop in summer to get a close look at the Cliff Swallows nesting under the bridge.

        Rideau River East Side Route Directions: From Murphy's Drain, continue southwest on River Road 0.4 km to Actons Corners Road / River Road. Turn right or northwest onto it and follow it as it wends southwest as River Road again 5.8 km to the turnoff into Burritt's Rapids. Turn right or northwest, just before the turnoff, into the parking area for the next site on this route, Burritts Rapids.
