Ottawa Crokinole Club

         Again only 3 players showed up at the Neily's Thursday night when Matt Brown and Larry Neily were joined by newcomer Matt Obach. We only had a double round robin before Matt O had to leave. Matt B and Larry stayed on to discuss Saturday's Eastern Ontario Crokinole Challenge and hope that all will go well despite cancellation by Kingston's proposed team.

         The games were fairly even tonight, with only one match not resulting in a tie. Matt Brown came out ahead on the evening as a result of that victory over Larry. Matt Obach showed he will be quite competitive in our group as all 4 of his matches were ties.

         Congratulations to Matt B, who had a 1W-3T record in his 4 matches, and a 18-14 round point victory. Strangely, Larry finished with the most 20's on the night with 27, Matt O had 20 and Matt B 15. Kind of bizarre that the least crokinoles netted the most points and vice versa. Also odd that Larry hit that many while still fighting his release problems.

         A short but good session in which we finally got to meet Matt Obach and welcome him to our small but enthusiatic group. We hope that Matt O will be able to come out often.
